The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has released an exciting opportunity for experienced professionals to join the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team of Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) Phase-II. Through Advertisement No. DMRC/PERS/22/HR/2026 (223) dated 30 January 2026, DMRC is inviting applications from dynamic and motivated Indian nationals for various executive and non-executive posts on Post Retirement Contractual Engagement (PRCE), Fixed Term Contractual Engagement (FTCE), and Deputation basis.
This is a golden chance for retired or serving officers from Indian Railways, Metro Rail systems, PSUs, Tamil Nadu Police, or Central Armed Police Forces to work in one of the fastest-growing metro networks in South India. Eligibility Criteria – Who Can Apply?
Eligibility is calculated as on 01.01.2026. Key requirements include:
Age Limit
- PRCE basis: 55 to 62 years
- Deputation basis: Maximum 55 years
- FTCE basis (Engineer posts): Maximum 40 years (relaxation as per Tamil Nadu Govt rules)
Educational Qualification & Experience
- JGM (Operations): BE/B.Tech or 2-year full-time MBA + 14 years Gazetted/Executive experience in metro/railway operations
- Engineers (Ops/Civil/Safety/AMS): Relevant BE/B.Tech (Safety post requires additional Safety Diploma) + minimum 2 years executive experience in relevant domain
- Assistant Manager (Security): Graduate + 2 years experience as ACP/Dy.SP/Asstt. Comdt. in Tamil Nadu Police or Central Armed Police Forces
- Supervisor (Legal): LL.B + minimum 2 years supervisory experience in legal matters (contracts, drafting, notices) in Railways/PSU/Metro
Candidates must be free from vigilance/D&AR cases. Tamil language proficiency is an added advantage.
Selection Process – How Will You Be Selected?
- Deputation basis: Personal Interview / Screening
- PRCE & FTCE basis: Personal Interview / Screening + Medical Fitness Examination

Salary & Remuneration – What Will You Earn?
Consolidated Pay (PRCE basis):
- JGM: ₹1,54,200 per month
- Assistant Manager: ₹82,700 per month
- Supervisor: ₹61,900 – ₹79,900 per month (depending on last substantive grade)
Deputation basis: Parent department pay + 25% Incentive (no separate deputation allowance)
FTCE basis (Engineers): ₹97,820 CTC per month (consolidated – inclusive of PF contribution, gratuity, etc.; self-covered medical insurance)
Additional benefits include HRA/Lease, TA/DA for outstation duty, casual & earned leave, but no other allowances for contractual posts.
